Lanette Hansen

Lanette Hansen is a seasoned radio personality. She is the voice of Magic 98’s Morning Show and is known for her approachable, easy-going and thoughtful demeanor.

She’s a Madison native…graduated from LaFollette High School and earned a degree from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. She lives on the east side of Madison with her husband, Marc, three kids: Everett, Roman and Imogene and two rescue pets, Abe and Daisy. Lanette’s favorite food is sushi, but a close second is literally, anything in a tortilla.

The artist she’s seen the most times in concert is the Indigo Girls, but her two all-time favorite songs are, Michael Jackson, ‘Man in the Mirror’ and Tracy Chapman, ‘Fast Car.’ Her alarm goes off at 3:30 in the morning…good thing she has always been a morning person, but coffee helps. Sports have always been an important part of Lanette’s life. Soccer was her sport of choice, but she’s always game to try something new.

Her best days are spent going on a family bike ride around the lake. Lanette works hard to strengthen the station’s connection to the community in a meaningful way…’that’s the beauty of being locally-owned, we’re right here and can do these great things. I take that part of my job very seriously…I know how important it is.’

Charlotte Deleste

Charlotte Deleste is the co-host of A New Day with Lanette and Charlotte on Magic 98.

Charlotte brings heart, humor, and honesty to mornings on Magic 98, where real life is always part of the conversation, Originally from St. Louis and a graduate of Marquette University, she brings more than 3 decades of broadcasting experience, including an Emmy Award-winning run at News 3 Now (WISC-TV).

Charlotte lives in Madison with her husband, two sons, and a pair of very opinionated rescue cats. She is the founder of Gio’s Garden, a therapeutic respite care nonprofit serving families in Middleton and Sun Prairie, inspired by her son Gio.

Mark Van Allen

From Verona, WI, Mark Van Allen, has been a familiar face within the Mid-West Family for over 30 years. A UW–Madison Journalism grad and former UW Band trumpet player, he fell in love with radio early on and never looked back.

These days, you’ll find him on Magic 98 — a station known for its close connection to the community, especially moms and families. For Mark, radio is all about real, one-on-one connection.

Off the air, he loves biking Madison’s trails, boating on Lake Monona, and catching live music — especially Concerts on the Square.
