The Resistance

THE RESISTANCE

106.7 The Resistance is Madison’s ultimate alternative station—no fluff, just pure, unfiltered rock. We’re fueled by bands like Twenty One Pilots, Billie Eilish, Imagine Dragons, Blink 182, and the kind of bands that unleash your inner rebel. If it’s got that edge, it’s on our airwaves. Indie? Check. Big names? You bet. And we’re not just about what’s big today—we’ve got the local scene locked down, bringing fresh talent straight from the heart of Madison.

OUR TALENT

Kiernan Tuohy

Kiernan is the voice behind Evenings with Kiernan on 106.7 The Resistance, broadcasting weekdays from 7:00 PM to midnight. A Madison local since 2011, Kiernan graduated from UW-Madison in 2015 with a degree in English and a minor in African Studies. She started with Mid-West Family in 2018, initially in sales, before expanding into events, promotions, and on-air work. Kiernan is passionate about Madison’s vibrant community, alternative music, and exploring the city’s latest restaurants. Outside of work, she’s married and enjoys spending time with her two cats, Bill and Babs.

Ebo Thoreson

EBO is an alternative DJ and radio host living in Madison with his wife and two cats. A die-hard Green Bay Packers fan, EBO drives a Volkswagen Golf GTI and draws inspiration from his role model, Brett Favre. Known for his sense of humor and energy, EBO loves to party and laugh, which is why Chris Farley would be his ultimate dinner guest. With a passion for music, Tool is his favorite band, and The Matrix is his go-to film. When he’s not on air, you’ll find him enjoying classic chocolate chip cookies and living life to the fullest.

Miranda Daniels

Miranda has been at Mid-West Family Madison for nearly 20 years. She loves all kinds of music, but especially rock & metal which helped keep her awake when she started doing weekend overnights on-air before getting hired full time in 2012. A true animal lover, Miranda adopted a puppy from Kibble-4-a-Cause, and she’s passionate about connecting local animal non-profits with the people who need them. K4AC is hands-down her favorite day of the year. When she’s not traveling with her husband, going to concerts, or reading, you’ll find her hanging out in the heart of Madison—in her favorite spot–around State, Dayton, and Fairchild, just steps away from Comedy On State and the Overture Center.
