OUR TALENT
Ebo Thoreson
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Ebo embodies the heart and soul of cheesehead culture—Packers, Badgers, Brewers, Bucks, and a classic Friday night fish fry with an Old Fashioned in hand. As the host of “Over The Line” and Program Director of The Zone, he’s a driving force in Madison’s sports talk scene. With over a decade of radio experience, Ebo’s journey started behind the mic at 94.1 WJJO, grinding through overnight shifts before finding his voice in sports talk. Now, he’s the voice of mornings in Madison, breaking down the biggest games, hottest takes, and everything that makes Wisconsin sports legendary.
Zach Heilprinn
Zach Heilprin is the Sports Director for 96.7 FM / 1670 AM ‘The Zone.’ He joined the company in July of 2016 following three years as ESPN Wisconsin’s beat writer for Badgers football and basketball. Prior to that, Heilprin spent two years covering the Green Bay Packers, also for ESPN Wisconsin, along with serving as a news reporter and anchor for a pair of radio stations in Beaver Dam, Wis. Heilprin hosts a pair of Wisconsin sports podcasts — The Camp and The Swing — along with the weekly Thoreson and Heilprin show.
Bill Michaels
Bill Michaels began his radio career in 1992 and moved to Wisconsin in 1999 to call Packers, Brewers, Badgers, and Bucks games on WTMJ. In 2011, he launched The Bill Michaels Network, airing across 16 stations for nine years. In 2021, he moved to Mid-West Family Madison, relaunching The Bill Michaels Show. He also runs Bill Michaels Inc., a podcast and livestream company. A proud father of four and grandfather of three, Bill now calls Brookfield home.
Grant Bilse
Grant, a proud Hartland, WI native, lives and breathes Wisconsin sports—whether it’s the Packers, Brewers, Badgers, or Bucks. He’s the voice behind the Wisco Sports Show, airing weeknights from 4-6 PM on the Wisconsin Sports Zone Radio Network, where he breaks down the latest sports news with high energy and plenty of fan interaction. Grant also produces the Bill Michaels Show from 10 AM – 2 PM and drops his insights on the Pack A Day Podcast.
Kate Gunderson
Kate is a regular guest on The Zone’s morning show with Ebo, bringing sports talk to listeners twice a week. She plays a key role in The Green & Gold Show and The Bill Michaels Show, in addition to event planning and promotions for Mid-West Family, especially Q106. A lifelong sports fan from a big Edgerton sports family, Kate played volleyball and basketball at Edgewood. When not on air, she loves traveling (including a summer in Philly), listening to country, classic rock, and Taylor Swift, and saying yes to every adventure—all while bringing joy to those around her.
